Angove Family Winemakers, established in 1886 by Dr. William Thomas Angove who arrived from Cornwall, England, is a prominent South Australian wine company. Celebrating its 125th anniversary and a century of winemaking in Renmark in 2011, Angove is one of Australia’s largest privately owned wine businesses, continuing the pioneering legacy of its founder. The company has been a leader in minimal chemical use, advancing organic viticulture with 36 hectares of its Nanya vineyard certified organic and another 30 hectares in conversion. The entire Angove winery is now certified to produce organic wines. Currently in its fifth generation of family leadership, Angove is committed to evolutionary ideas, focusing on sustainability and relevance for future generations.
