This is a 'Rose' like no other. Done in the syrah style (aka. Shiraz), it is a dry, savoury rosé with delicate red fruits and hints of olives and subtle spice. Inside the Bottle

This wine is ready to go straight off the bat. Coats the mouth instantly with savoury fruit notes. There is a pleasing bitterness, think green olives. A gentle grip, from the basket pressing and barrel time, calls out for grilled octopus with a squeeze of lemon perhaps? I would recommend not drinking this wine too cold. It is drinking beautifully now but could definitely hold up over the next 5 years and beyond.

This Syrah surprised me. It was elegant but not soft, you know? Bit of black pepper, dark berries, maybe even something floral in there. I had it with roast duck and crispy potatoes on a cold night and it was a perfect match. Not too heavy, not too fruity. Just balanced and the experience of taking out the cork would it more elegant! Delivery from Guilt Free Wine was smooth and packed well, came quick, no issues. Very happy with the whole thing.
