Inside the Bottle

This is tight, and zippy, and almost Riesling-like in its intensity and acid profile, yet has classic raw almond flavour, along with citrus, green apple and pear, and a wee bit of struck match complexity. It sizzles, and has fine chalky texture, pink grapefruit, dried herb and a brisk and focused finish of excellent length. Bang on.

Arneis isn’t easy to find here, so I was curious. This one reminded me of Piemonte...fresh but with depth. Had it cold on a sunny afternoon with grilled zucchini and prawns, and it was just right. Not too sharp, a bit nutty, subtle florals. It’s not loud, but it’s confident. Delivery from Guilt Free Wine was fast and everything felt thoughtfully packed. No fuss, no breakage. Grazie.
